Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current, valid COTA certification
- Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles as applied to children
- Ability to work effectively with other school professionals, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, flexible, and resourceful approach to addressing students’ needs
Responsibilities:
- Support licensed Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Implement intervention plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collect and record data on student progress and assist in updating treatment plans
- Adapt and modify classroom materials or activities as appropriate
- Foster supportive and positive relationships with students
- Communicate observations and collaborate regularly with school staff and parents
