Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current, valid COTA certification
  • Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles as applied to children
  • Ability to work effectively with other school professionals, teachers, and families
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, flexible, and resourceful approach to addressing students’ needs

Responsibilities:

  • Support licensed Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy services to elementary-aged students
  • Implement intervention plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
  • Collect and record data on student progress and assist in updating treatment plans
  • Adapt and modify classroom materials or activities as appropriate
  • Foster supportive and positive relationships with students
  • Communicate observations and collaborate regularly with school staff and parents
