School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Eureka, California

A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available in Eureka, CA, covering Humboldt County. This contract role focuses on providing specialized support through birth to 3 home visits, offering early intervention services to young children and their families within the educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy services for infants and toddlers aged birth to 3 years in home environments
• Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Document and report on therapy progress and maintain compliance with regulations and standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to goal-setting for each child’s development

Qualifications:

• Active California COTA license or currently in the licensing process
• Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, specifically birth to 3 services, preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with families and professionals
• Ability to work independently in community and home settings

Location:

• Position based in Eureka, CA, with travel throughout Humboldt County required
