Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Everson, WA

Key Qualifications:

• Active COTA certification and licensure as required by the state
• Demonstrated experience within school environments (mandatory)
• Expertise in implementing IEPs and adapting activities for diverse student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to work independently and follow OT guidance
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Document student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Support occupational therapy evaluations by performing selected assessments and observations
• Help develop sensory, motor, and adaptive skill interventions tailored for individual student success
• Communicate therapy goals, strategies, and progress clearly to staff and families
• Consistently uphold school policies and confidentiality standards

Position Details:

• Full-time: 35 hours per week
• Schedule: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
• Directly support one school site, providing continuity and consistency for students
• Opportunity to remain until the district secures a direct-hire candidate
