Qualifications:

  • Active COTA certification and current state licensure
  • Solid background in school-based occupational therapy practices
  • Experience supporting children with diverse needs in an educational or healthcare setting
  • Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to therapy
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and fellow clinicians

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs/504 plans
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and interventions
  • Support students with fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills to foster independence and academic success
  • Track student progress, document sessions, and prepare timely, accurate reports
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary school team to ensure holistic student support
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and family consultations as needed
