Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a vibrant school setting near Ferndale, WA. This full-time position spans 35 hours per week, with hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm, starting August 27th and continuing until the district places a direct hire. As the dedicated COTA for one school campus, you’ll work closely alongside the Occupational Therapist to enhance student engagement and success.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current COTA certification and state licensure required
  • Demonstrated experience providing occupational therapy services in a school-based setting
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and specialized student needs
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and commitment to fostering inclusive environments

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to implement individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct interventions to students to improve fine motor, self-help, sensory, and functional skills
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to regulatory guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to goal planning
  • Adjust techniques and strategies to meet each student's unique needs
