This full-time position spans 35 hours per week, with hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm, starting August 27th and continuing until the district places a direct hire. As the dedicated COTA for one school campus, you’ll work closely alongside the Occupational Therapist to enhance student engagement and success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current COTA certification and state licensure required
- Demonstrated experience providing occupational therapy services in a school-based setting
- Strong understanding of IEPs and specialized student needs
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability and commitment to fostering inclusive environments
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to implement individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct interventions to students to improve fine motor, self-help, sensory, and functional skills
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to regulatory guidelines
- Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to goal planning
- Adjust techniques and strategies to meet each student's unique needs
