High School Middle School School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with licensed occupational therapists, educators, and families to help students achieve greater independence and overcome barriers to learning. What You’ll Need:

• Current certification as a COTA and licensure in Missouri (or eligibility)
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in school environments (elementary, middle, and/or high school)
• Familiarity with IEPs, student progress documentation, and collaborative communication
• Ability to adapt activities to meet a range of developmental and learning needs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy interventions to students, individually or in groups, as part of the IEP process
• Collaborate with occupational therapists and school staff to develop and implement student therapy plans
• Assist in evaluating students' needs, abilities, and goals
• Maintain accurate documentation on interventions, progress, and outcomes
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and therapy teams to support educational success
• Support students’ participation in classroom and school routines
