Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current or pending licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Tennessee
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and collaborate effectively with educational teams
  • Commitment to professional growth and ethical practice

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy interventions designed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Work closely with students, teachers, and families to support progress toward educational and developmental milestones
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school district and federal regulations
  • Assist with assessments and the preparation of materials for interventions
  • Participate in IEP meetings as requested and contribute valuable insights regarding student needs
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners
