Key Qualifications:

• Current COTA licensure and eligibility to practice in Tennessee
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
• Passion for working with diverse student populations and supporting individualized education goals

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, tailored to students’ IEPs
• Assist with assessments and data collection, reporting progress and observations
• Collaborate with teachers and faculty to adapt classroom activities and materials for student needs
• Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional mobility
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Foster an inclusive, positive environment to encourage student participation and growth
