Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for helping students achieve their highest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, supporting students' participation in school activities
- Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans, tracking progress toward established goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students’ unique needs and foster a positive learning environment
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools customized for students of varying abilities
- Document services rendered, maintain records, and ensure compliance with all school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support strategies
