Key Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification and California state licensure required
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of school-based occupational therapy practices and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Compassion, patience, and a student-focused mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as guided by individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Implement treatment activities that promote students’ independence, participation, and academic development
- Document progress and maintain accurate records per district and state requirements
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and families to support each student’s unique needs
- Contribute to IEP meetings, sharing observations and input for student growth and success
- Adapt and modify activities or classroom materials for accessibility and engagement
