Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current certification as a COTA
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
  • Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Passion for helping students achieve their highest potential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, supporting students' participation in school activities
  • Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans, tracking progress toward established goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to address students’ unique needs and foster a positive learning environment
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools customized for students of varying abilities
  • Document services rendered, maintain records, and ensure compliance with all school and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support strategies
