Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Proven ability to support the development of fine and gross motor skills in elementary-age children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary school students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assist lead Occupational Therapist in designing and implementing individualized interventions
- Monitor student progress and accurately document sessions, maintaining confidentiality and compliance
- Collaborate with staff and participate in team meetings to ensure students’ needs are met holistically
- Engage students in activities that promote self-care, motor skills, and classroom participation
