Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in California
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to support the development of fine and gross motor skills in elementary-age children
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation best practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary school students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Assist lead Occupational Therapist in designing and implementing individualized interventions
  • Monitor student progress and accurately document sessions, maintaining confidentiality and compliance
  • Collaborate with staff and participate in team meetings to ensure students’ needs are met holistically
  • Engage students in activities that promote self-care, motor skills, and classroom participation
