Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license or eligibility to obtain one as a COTA.
• Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Compassion, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist with developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic activities aligned with student needs.
• Document student progress and report findings to supervising therapists and educational staff.
• Support classroom staff through modeling therapeutic strategies and recommending adaptations.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in professional meetings and contribute to student-centered problem solving.
