Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a rewarding contract assignment! Work closely with Occupational Therapists and school teams to help students reach their fullest potential through personalized interventions and collaborative care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid, current COTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Prior experience with pediatric or school-based therapy preferred
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, therapists, and families
- Ability to implement treatment plans effectively and adapt to student needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to enrich the educational experience of every student
Responsibilities:
- Support Occupational Therapists in delivering individualized therapy services to students
- Facilitate activities that develop daily living and functional skills within the school environment
- Gather data on student progress and document therapy sessions according to regulatory and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute insights to team discussions, and help set meaningful student goals
- Educate teachers, staff, and families about OT strategies for classroom success
- Maintain equipment, therapy tools, and an organized therapy space
