School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Henrico, Virginia

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a COTA in the state
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is preferred
• Strong collaborative skills and willingness to work within multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Adaptability to meet students’ diverse needs and learning styles

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
• Implement therapeutic activities as designed by licensed occupational therapists
• Collect data, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records for students
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to develop and execute strategies that enhance student participation in school activities
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
