Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Indiana COTA license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation and implementing therapy goals
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for supporting students with diverse abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OTR/L in accordance with students’ IEP goals
  • Assist with evaluations and assessments to determine students’ functional abilities
  • Document therapy sessions and progress in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to integrate therapy strategies into students’ daily activities
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills to enhance classroom participation
