Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience providing COTA services in school or healthcare environments
  • Passion for working with children and adolescents
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for AR as a COTA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with occupational therapists to implement individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors for improved participation in school routines
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates to the educational team
  • Participate in meetings, collaborate with school partners, and contribute to a positive learning environment
