Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Jay, ME

Enjoy a full-time schedule with 40 hours per week, collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team. You’ll work closely with teachers, occupational therapists, and families to help develop and implement individualized therapy interventions for students across a diverse K-12 caseload.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• State licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to adapt and creatively engage with students of varying abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Dedication to fostering student independence and functional success

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services, adhering to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Assist with assessments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Document and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive support for each student
• Contribute to the development and adjustment of therapy strategies as student needs evolve
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
