Step into an impactful full-time role supporting student success as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a collaborative school-based environment. Beginning August 11, 2026, and running through late May 2027, you'll travel to a manageable zone of 6-7 campuses (all within the Houston southwest area) to deliver vital OT services. Caseloads are structured for quality care, with about 70 students total—of whom 30-40 will receive direct services, and the remainder consults, often on a rotating schedule.

You will work with a diverse age range spanning from early childhood through transition age (3-21), conducting evaluations, attending ARDs, and partnering closely with an Occupational Therapist. Your days will typically run from 8:00–4:00 or 7:30–3:30, creating an organized routine while serving a truly meaningful mission.

Required Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current, active Texas COTA license
  • Strong background in schools or extensive pediatric experience (multiple years preferred)
  • Willingness and ability to work full-time only (37.5 hours per week)
  • Experience conducting evaluations, participating in ARD meetings, and supporting IEP planning
  • Proficient with SHARES, Onward, or similar school health documentation tools; Microsoft Excel familiarity for logging IEPs
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple assigned school sites (within a designated ZIP code-based area)
  • Must complete district fingerprint background check (completed prints may already be in the system)
  • District will not consider any former employees

You'll find meaningful variety in your days, a supportive interdisciplinary team, opportunities for professional development, and a population of students counting on your support and expertise.
