Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a dynamic educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, onsite contract position (37.5 hours per week) focuses on delivering expert support to an Early Learning Center caseload in a vibrant school community near Lakewood, WA, with a contract running from ASAP through June 23, 2027. Your specialized skills will directly impact young students’ growth, helping to foster independence and success in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Active Washington State COTA or OT license
  • Fingerprinting clearance through OSPI
  • Previous experience working as a COTA in a school environment
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
  • Commitment to an onsite presence throughout the assignment’s duration

Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy interventions designed by a supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills among early learners
  • Document and track student progress in accordance with state and district policies
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings to develop and review IEPs
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, caregivers, and team members to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain compliance with all school, district, and state requirements
