Step into a full-time, contract opportunity providing essential occupational therapy services to students across five school locations for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll collaborate with an Occupational Therapist to deliver targeted interventions that help PreK-8th grade students achieve greater independence and success in their educational environments. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact every day with a diverse caseload of approximately 65 students.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
  • Prior experience in a school setting highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of providing OT services for children and adolescents, especially PreK-8th grade
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Support the OT in assessing and treating students as outlined in IEPs
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services district-wide across five schools
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate, thorough records
  • Work with teachers, staff, and families to support student success in the classroom
  • Assist in developing and modifying therapeutic activities and materials
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insight for student support plans

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position running from July 30, 2026 through May 28, 2027, ensuring you can enjoy a consistent schedule throughout the school year. You’ll have the rewarding experience of supporting diverse learners while working alongside a talented team of professionals.
