We are currently seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time, direct hire opportunity working primarily with high school students. Located in a convenient area near Laurel, MD, this contract role offers the chance to positively impact students’ daily lives while collaborating with a passionate multidisciplinary team.

As a valued member of the staff, you’ll utilize your healthcare and school-based COTA experience to help students learn, grow, and thrive. Your skills will support educational goals and occupational therapy plans within an encouraging school community.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as a COTA and eligibility for Maryland licensure
  • Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong pediatric background, especially with high school age students
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented approach and flexibility
  • Creative problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and other professionals to address students’ needs
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records
  • Engage students in activities that foster independence and life skills
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
