You’ll play an important role in providing direct occupational therapy support across several elementary and secondary buildings, collaborating closely with school staff to ensure continuity of care. Schedule flexibility is a key aspect of this role, allowing you to organize your day, with initial guidance provided at the academic year’s start.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
- Experience in pediatric, educational, or school-based settings highly preferred
- Ability to serve a caseload of approximately 32 students, providing 800 minutes of direct services weekly
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation to manage scheduling across multiple locations
- Effective communication and collaborative approach with school personnel
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to assigned students, following individualized education plans
- Develop and implement activities under the supervision of occupational therapists
- Document sessions and progress according to school and district protocols
- Contribute to team meetings as required and maintain open communication with staff and families
- Manage travel and transitions between assigned school sites, ensuring all students are served
