Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Lenexa, KS

Make a meaningful impact supporting students across multiple school campuses by assisting occupational therapists in improving educational and daily living skills. In this contract position, you'll collaborate closely with district OTs and help them manage their caseloads, providing essential services to students. Your schedule is self-determined, giving you flexibility as you visit each assigned campus (1-3 total) weekly. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues until 5/21/27.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
• Experience providing therapy in school settings highly preferred
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for developing and improving student skills
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from supervising OTs
• Comfortable traveling between campuses as assigned
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students under direct supervision of registered occupational therapists
• Implement individualized education and treatment plans as outlined by the OT
• Provide direct and group interventions to support students’ ability to participate fully in school activities
• Document progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
• Regularly visit each assigned campus (1-3) according to your flexible self-set schedule
• Assist with maintaining records and supporting larger OT caseloads efficiently
