This full-time position offers the unique chance to collaborate with a dedicated OT while providing Occupational Therapy Assistant services to a diverse PreK-8th grade caseload of approximately 65 students. What you'll need to succeed in this role:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience within a school setting highly preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic interventions suitable for early childhood through middle school populations
- Strong collaborative and communication skills for working alongside OTs, educators, and families
- Ability to manage documentation for student progress and related compliance
- Organizational skills for balancing responsibilities across multiple sites
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct and consultative occupational therapy services to PreK-8th grade students alongside an OT
- Supporting the implementation of treatment plans and IEP goals
- Assisting in assessments and progress reporting
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation and independence in school activities
- Traveling between five district locations as assigned
