Desired Qualifications:

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of New Mexico
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions for school-aged children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, educators, and families
• Demonstrated ability to adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of each student
• Commitment to professional growth and learning in a dynamic educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students per IEP goals district wide
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and student support teams to develop strategies that promote student success
• Document all sessions and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Assist with assessments and monitoring of student development under OT supervision
• Provide resources, training, and support for teachers and caregivers to generalize skills beyond the therapy setting
• Contribute to meetings and planning sessions as an active, insightful team member
