Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold a current and valid COTA license
- Prior experience in school-based settings or pediatrics preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable collaborating with occupational therapists, teachers, and families
- Dedication to fostering student growth, participation, and independence
Responsibilities:
- Assist the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services tailored to students’ needs
- Carry out interventions outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Document progress, adapt activities, and keep clear records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills in the classroom setting
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on students’ functional performance
- Communicate effectively with school staff and families to maximize student success
