In this role, you’ll engage with a diverse range of students and collaborate with faculty and families to address each child’s unique needs, all while enjoying a consistent four-day work week.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification and current license to practice in Massachusetts
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy settings
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt to different school sites and student populations
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and goal tracking is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OTR, focusing on student success within the educational environment
- Assist in evaluating student skills, tracking progress, and documenting therapy sessions
- Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
- Offer strategies and recommendations to teachers and families for student support at school and home
- Navigate multiple K-12 campuses, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism
