Ideal Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification in good standing
- Successful completion of an accredited OTA program
- Previous experience delivering occupational therapy services within a school or pediatric setting preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of IEP process and developmentally appropriate interventions for students
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, therapists, parents, and school staff
- Flexibility, organizational skills, and a compassionate, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals and school guidelines
- Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in administering assessments and developing treatment plans
- Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Support the integration of therapeutic activities into daily classroom routines
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
- Foster independence, participation, and positive outcomes for students in both academic and functional skill areas
