Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations or within school environments preferred
  • Knowledge of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and familiarity with intervention planning and documentation requirements in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities—able to collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and families
  • Comfort with providing direct and indirect therapy, conducting group and individual sessions, and adapting activities for diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students as directed by an Occupational Therapist, supporting physical, sensory, and cognitive development
  • Assist in assessments, implement treatment plans, and participate in the progress monitoring and documentation process
  • Work closely with educators to integrate strategies in the classroom that promote student success and independence
  • Support the development of fine and gross motor skills, self-care routines, and adaptive behaviors among students
  • Contribute to ongoing communication with teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress and recommendations
