Key Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to therapy
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, progress tracking, and goal documentation
  • Ability to adapt to changing student needs and collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary-age students as specified in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement interventions and support student progress
  • Collect data, document sessions, and communicate updates to therapy teams and families
  • Assist in developing customized strategies, modifications, and adaptive tools for classroom participation
  • Encourage motor development, sensory regulation, and self-care skills in daily school activities
  • Participate in meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development
