Advance your clinical skills in an educational environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time contract opportunity provides the chance to support students' development and independence, working closely with licensed occupational therapists and educational staff to deliver quality therapy services.
Key Qualifications:
- Current COTA certification and relevant licensure in California
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an OT
- Passion for supporting students’ academic and functional success
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out occupational therapy treatment plans designed by the supervising OT
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to improve fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Document sessions, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as required
- Utilize a variety of tools and therapeutic strategies to promote student engagement
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Monitor and report on student progress, making recommendations as appropriate
