Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current COTA certification and active state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with OTs, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs and individual educational plans
- Proficient organizational and documentation abilities for maintaining accurate records
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with supervising Occupational Therapist to deliver direct and consultative services to students
- Implement individualized treatment plans supporting student goals in fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, and classroom participation
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, progress notes, and reporting
- Engage in IEP meetings, providing input regarding students’ occupational therapy needs
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce therapeutic strategies in daily routines
