Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current, valid COTA licensure in Delaware (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a K-12 school environment is advantageous
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Skilled in adapting activities for varying student needs and working as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Occupational Therapists to implement treatment plans tailored to students’ unique needs
• Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care strategies, and classroom participation
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote optimal learning environments
• Encourage student independence through structured interventions and modifications
• Participate in meetings, IEPs, and ongoing training sessions to enhance your professional skills
