Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Mojave, CA

This contract role runs from September 14, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and will cover a maternity leave, offering you the chance to work directly with a diverse K-12 population in an itinerant capacity. You'll collaborate with teachers, staff, and other professionals to help approximately 50 students achieve their goals and thrive in the academic setting—all while gaining experience across multiple sites.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California
• Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, itinerant role
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
• Commitment to supporting K-12 students with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, following established goals and plans for each student
• Travel between multiple sites within the district to provide comprehensive support across the caseload
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for each student in accordance with district policies
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to optimize student outcomes
• Support students’ independence in academic, social, and functional skills
