Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Mount Lemmon, AZ

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students as a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with a manageable caseload of 13–14 students, ranging from PreK through 12th grade, and provides valuable services only one day per week for 7.5 hours. The role supports school-based therapy needs in a vibrant educational setting in the Mount Lemmon area.

Ideal candidates will have experience adapting their therapeutic approach across various age groups and possess a collaborative spirit to work alongside educators, therapists, and families.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid COTA license required
• Previous experience working with school-aged children highly preferred
• Familiarity with educational environments and compliance with IEP documentation
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for students of varying developmental levels

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to a diverse PreK–12th grade caseload
• Perform sessions onsite 1x per week for 7.5 hours, focusing on individualized and group interventions
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and other staff to support student goals
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation as required for IEPs and school records
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting activities as needed to achieve therapeutic outcomes
• Engage with families and school teams to foster student participation and independence
