Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active COTA license (state credentials current and in good standing)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and therapy documentation
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Collaborative approach, comfortable working alongside teachers, therapists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to IEP goals under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Assist in developing and implementing therapy interventions to enhance students’ participation in classroom activities
  • Collect data, document progress, and communicate regularly with both clinical and educational teams
  • Support adaptive equipment use and modify classroom materials as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insights for student plans
  • Maintain compliance with special education policies and procedures
