A skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a contract position in a school setting located in Nashville, TN. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students’ developmental and functional needs within an educational environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing occupational therapy interventions designed by the licensed occupational therapist
  • Assisting students with sensory, motor, and fine motor skill development to enhance their ability to participate fully in school activities
  • Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborating with educators, therapists, families, and other school personnel to develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Participating in meetings and providing therapy recommendations to support student success

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid COTA certification and licensure as required by the state
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
