Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active COTA licensure in Tennessee, or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience with children or in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability and a positive attitude toward new challenges

Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
• Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress
• Assist with developing and executing therapy activities based on IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support each student’s educational journey
• Participate in meetings and contribute to student care plans as needed
• Ensure documentation meets compliance standards set by the school and district
