Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and current COTA licensure in Tennessee (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- School-based or pediatric experience is highly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for fostering positive outcomes for students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students per IEPs, under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist in assessments and contribute to developing individualized treatment plans
- Track and document student progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding student needs and progress
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students
