Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid COTA license (or eligibility for licensure) in Delaware
  • Experience in a school environment is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and work well both independently and with a team
  • Passion for working with children and helping them reach their fullest potential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of individualized education and therapy plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist
  • Assist students in developing and improving fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for student care planning
  • Foster an inclusive, positive environment that encourages student participation and growth
