Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current or pending COTA license in the state of Delaware
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based settings (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Dedication to supporting diverse learners and adapting strategies to individual needs

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing student therapy plans
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as requested
  • Deliver therapy services in both individual and group settings
  • Communicate progress with supervising therapists, staff, and families
  • Adapt interventions and materials to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Help create an inclusive and motivating environment for all learners
