Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current or pending COTA license in the state of Delaware
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings (preferred, but not required)
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
- Dedication to supporting diverse learners and adapting strategies to individual needs
Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing student therapy plans
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as requested
- Deliver therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Communicate progress with supervising therapists, staff, and families
- Adapt interventions and materials to meet the unique needs of each student
- Help create an inclusive and motivating environment for all learners
