Work two full days per week (8 hours each day, totaling 16 hours weekly), supporting a diverse group of children from now through June 12th.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active COTA licensure in California
- Previous experience providing OT services in school settings, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, therapists, and families
- Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Understanding of IEPs and school-based documentation procedures
- Compassion and creativity in facilitating student independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group occupational therapy sessions to elementary-aged students
- Support the implementation of IEP goals, documenting progress and maintaining detailed records
- Collaborate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adapt activities and interventions
- Assist students in developing fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care, and classroom participation
- Consult with teachers and classroom staff to integrate therapy strategies throughout the school day
- Participate in team meetings and contribute valuable insights on student progress
