Your qualifications:
- Active COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication skills with students, educators, and families
- Collaborative approach and dedication to student-centered interventions
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse learning and developmental needs
Your responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the occupational therapist
- Work 1:1 or in small groups, helping students achieve their IEP goals
- Support students' participation in classroom, cafeteria, and playground environments
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Provide relevant input and feedback for IEP meetings and parent communications
- Utilize creative strategies and adaptive equipment, as needed, to maximize student progress
