- Previous experience working in a school setting is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Dedication to promoting the well-being and development of students with diverse abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to special education and occupational therapy.
Location: Okeechobee, FL
Job Type: Full-Time, 35 hours/week
Start: 2026/2027 school year, 8/03/2026 - 5/27/2027
Pay: $35+ hourly, dependent on experience
Caseload: PreK-12, discussed in an interview

Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). As a school-based COTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students within a supportive school district.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and assist the district Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Develop and implement effective occupational therapy interventions to enhance students’ participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students with diverse needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to the development and review of students’ educational plans.
