An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L) eager to make an impact within a supportive educational setting near Oklahoma City. This contract role begins in August 2026 and continues through May 2027, aligning with the academic calendar and offering flexible scheduling options, including part-time (20 hours/week) and full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) positions.
Your work will be in-person, providing essential therapy services to students and collaborating with educators and families. While specific caseload assignments are to be determined, you’ll be an integral part of a talented team, helping students reach their full potential.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Current Oklahoma COTA/L licensure and state certification to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in a school setting
- Previous experience within school-based, pediatric, or healthcare environments preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with staff, students, and families
- Strong organizational skills to manage varied caseloads
- Committed to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy support and interventions to students based on IEP goals
- Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation per school and state guidelines
- Adapt therapeutic activities to meet students’ diverse needs
- Engage in ongoing communication with families concerning student progress
