The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 12th, allowing you to make a meaningful impact during the remainder of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
  • Experience or strong interest in working within school environments, specifically with elementary-aged children
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and school support staff
  • Excellent communication skills for partnering with teachers and engaging families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the direction of an OT, targeting students’ functional abilities within the school environment
  • Assist in implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Support a diverse elementary caseload by developing activities and adaptations that promote classroom participation and independence
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and strategies for student success
