Apply NowExciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eager to support students in a dynamic K-12 environment! Work onsite in a full-time, contract position for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning with a comprehensive New Hire Orientation from August 12th to August 14th. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois COTA license required (please provide proof of licensure with your application)
- Experience in school-based OT settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Adaptable and resourceful approach to working with students with a range of needs—caseload projected to be low and manageable
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with educators, parents, and staff
- Ability to organize daily schedule and manage workload efficiently
- Committed to providing support onsite during all contracted hours
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students onsite, in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with special education teachers, support staff, and families to help students access their curriculum and learning environments
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and provide data for IEP meetings and evaluations
- Assist with assessments and implementation of therapeutic interventions designed by supervising OTs
- Support student participation in academic and social activities
- Participate in orientation, professional development, and staff meetings as needed
