Key Qualifications:

  • Valid COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in implementing occupational therapy programs designed by an OT
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
  • Ability to manage caseload paperwork and meet deadlines efficiently

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in developing, improving, and maintaining functional skills for academic performance and daily living
  • Carry out occupational therapy interventions and activities under the supervision of a licensed OT
  • Document progress and communicate updates to the OT, teachers, and families
  • Modify or adapt activities and environments to support students’ individual needs in the school setting
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
