School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Peyton, Colorado

This contract opportunity offers 28 hours per week, split between two dynamic charter schools in the Aurora area. As part of a collaborative team, you'll provide hands-on therapy services to children, helping them succeed in their academic and daily school routines.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active COTA license and eligibility to work in Colorado
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to both group and individual sessions
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to work between multiple school sites
• Reliable transportation for travel between schools

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized student treatment plans
• Support students with fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care activities relevant to school life
• Conduct direct therapy sessions under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Maintain accurate session notes and progress documentation for each student
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student success
• Contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed
• Ensure a positive, encouraging, and safe environment for all students
