This contract opportunity offers 28 hours per week, split between two dynamic charter schools in the Aurora area. As part of a collaborative team, you'll provide hands-on therapy services to children, helping them succeed in their academic and daily school routines.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active COTA license and eligibility to work in Colorado
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to both group and individual sessions
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to work between multiple school sites
- Reliable transportation for travel between schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized student treatment plans
- Support students with fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care activities relevant to school life
- Conduct direct therapy sessions under the guidance of the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Maintain accurate session notes and progress documentation for each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student success
- Contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed
- Ensure a positive, encouraging, and safe environment for all students
