Bring your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help PreK–12th grade learners thrive in their educational environments. This assignment offers the chance to make a real difference within 3–5 schools, supporting diverse caseloads and collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Department of Health OTA License
  • School-based COTA experience preferred, but all pediatric backgrounds welcomed
  • Ability to adapt interventions across age groups, PreK through high school
  • Ready to complete or transfer district-required fingerprinting (prior AHCA Clearance accepted)
  • Strong communication skills and professional collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Organized, flexible, and able to travel between school locations as needed

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT
  • Support students’ participation in classroom and school routines by adapting activities and environments
  • Document therapy sessions, maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards, and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Deliver therapy services onsite, working approximately 35 hours per week throughout the school year
  • Travel across assigned campuses within the district to serve students’ needs
  • Collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
