This assignment offers the chance to make a real difference within 3–5 schools, supporting diverse caseloads and collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health OTA License
- School-based COTA experience preferred, but all pediatric backgrounds welcomed
- Ability to adapt interventions across age groups, PreK through high school
- Ready to complete or transfer district-required fingerprinting (prior AHCA Clearance accepted)
- Strong communication skills and professional collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and able to travel between school locations as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Support students’ participation in classroom and school routines by adapting activities and environments
- Document therapy sessions, maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Deliver therapy services onsite, working approximately 35 hours per week throughout the school year
- Travel across assigned campuses within the district to serve students’ needs
- Collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
