Qualifications:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (or eligibility) in Maine
- Experience with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of an occupational therapist
- Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and adaptive equipment
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assist in developing therapy plans and supporting assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, families, and other staff
- Document student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Support students in developing fine motor, self-care, and classroom participation skills
