Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Puyallup, WA

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Washington State COTA or OT License required
• Must be fingerprinted through OSPI before start date
• Experience working as a COTA in a school setting is strongly preferred
• Understanding of Early Learning Center caseloads and early childhood development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with therapists, teachers, and families
• Ability to organize, track, and document student interventions according to district policies

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to ELC students under the supervision of an OT
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs within the school setting
• Deliver services in both one-on-one and small group formats, adapting strategies for diverse learning styles
• Support classroom staff by sharing tools and techniques for integrating therapy within daily activities
• Engage in ongoing communication with staff and families regarding student progress
• Complete timely and accurate documentation as required by state and district standards
