Take on a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll collaborate closely with occupational therapists and education professionals to foster positive development for young students.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Washington State COTA or OT License required
- Must be fingerprinted through OSPI before start date
- Experience working as a COTA in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Understanding of Early Learning Center caseloads and early childhood development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with therapists, teachers, and families
- Ability to organize, track, and document student interventions according to district policies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to ELC students under the supervision of an OT
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs within the school setting
- Deliver services in both one-on-one and small group formats, adapting strategies for diverse learning styles
- Support classroom staff by sharing tools and techniques for integrating therapy within daily activities
- Engage in ongoing communication with staff and families regarding student progress
- Complete timely and accurate documentation as required by state and district standards
This full-time contract role offers compensation between $77-80 per hour, providing a competitive rate for qualified professionals ready to make a difference.
