Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting or working with children is highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with therapists, teachers, and parents
- Ability to manage time effectively and navigate multiple school locations during the workweek
- Knowledge of current best practices and regulations in school-based occupational therapy
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as directed by a supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and activities
- Support students in achieving goals related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
- Maintain accurate session documentation and report on students’ progress
- Communicate with staff and families to ensure a coordinated approach to student care
- Travel to and provide services at various school sites as scheduled
