Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting or working with children is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with therapists, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to manage time effectively and navigate multiple school locations during the workweek
  • Knowledge of current best practices and regulations in school-based occupational therapy

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as directed by a supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and activities
  • Support students in achieving goals related to sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care, and classroom participation
  • Maintain accurate session documentation and report on students’ progress
  • Communicate with staff and families to ensure a coordinated approach to student care
  • Travel to and provide services at various school sites as scheduled
