You’ll have the chance to work closely with a diverse group of 50-75 children each week, contributing to their academic experience and personal growth through impactful therapy.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credentials in New Mexico
- NM State licensure and Education Certificate required
- Experience or strong interest in school-based OT settings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, goal-oriented occupational therapy sessions individually or in small groups (30-60 minutes each)
- Support students across a wide range of needs to maximize participation in academic and daily school activities
- Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records
- Collaborate with licensed OTs, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement IEP goals
- Provide consultation and resources to faculty and parents for student success
- Adapt interventions for different age groups, from Pre-K through 12th grade
Job Details:
- Contract position
- Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, regular school hours
