Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Valid state COTA license
  • Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience, with preference for schools or pediatric settings
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and required continuing education

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist a licensed Occupational Therapist in delivering direct and consultative services to students
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to support students’ academic and functional success
  • Track and report student progress, working closely with the OT to adapt strategies as needed
  • Partner with educators, administrators, and families to address individual student needs and foster an inclusive environment
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
