Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Rancho Cordova, CA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting strongly preferred
• Ability to effectively support a diverse student population across grades K-12
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Collaborative attitude and commitment to working as part of a team with occupational therapists, teachers, and other educational staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support students’ development of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills
• Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists to assess student needs and progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and student outcomes
• Engage with teachers and parents to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Assist in developing strategies and accommodations within the classroom setting

This position offers the stability of a 30-hour work week over the full academic calendar year, focused on fostering student growth and inclusion.
